Simulgachi Primary Teachers’ Training Institute is the first Primary Teachers’ Training Institute (co-educational) at Simulgachi, Murshidabad.

Simulgachi P.T.T.I. is situated at Simulgachi, on Kandi-Salar Motor Road at Simulgachi, 6 k.m. away from Kandi town in the district of Murshidabad, in a rural sylvan environment under the canopy of the blue sky and surrounded by the greenery of corn fields.
- The school stands on a sprawling 1.05 acre (4,214 Sq. mtr.) campus located in the pollution free locality of Simulgachi Murshidabad.
- The purchased 1.05 acre (4,214 Sq. mtr.) of land by registered gift deed for construction of Simulgachi P.T.T. Institute’s own building. The land is spacious and capable of providing building facility as per norms of the National Council for Teacher Education.
- The building plan was approved by the appropriate authority. The Premises consist of an imposing building with spacious two class rooms, office room, principal room, Lecturers room multi-purpose educational hall, Science Laboratory, Psychology Laboratory, Geography Laboratory, Educational Technology Laboratory, Music room, Store room, room for yoga and indoor games, library, play ground, separate common rooms for boys and girls, sufficient latrine and Urinal for boys, girls and staff.
- Here teaching is imparted on knowledge based, skill based, on contents and methodology, practical works on gardening and modelling and practice teaching on the syllabus and course for primary education with care, systematic discipline and drill under the guidance of experts teachers. The Result is the cent percent success at the final examination.
The institute has its own 6 KVA generator with backup facility so as to ensure a 24-hour uninterrupted power supply to the institute. We have already equipped the Institute with educational technology and media laboratories with up to date software computer device. The planning to provide internet facility to the students to access to global information sources has been done. Science and Psychology laboratories have been equipped with different models, charts related to primary education courses. A big library of 3014 volumes, journals, daily news papers and weeklies has been set up for the immensity in the field of reading of trainees. A decorated monthly manuscript wall magazine is displayed followed by an Annual printed magazine with the trainees’ contributions of articles is published.
